Borice Recipe

As promised this is the recipe for Borice.
Borice is easy to fix, and surprisingly great tasting.

Step1) cook 6 pieces of bacon( you can use more if you want, but not less) in a large frying pan.
When the bacon is crispy but not burnt, remove bacon set aside to drain.

Step 2) slice one large sweet onion into small chunks and brown in the bacon grease until the edges are brown, and you can nearly see through the onion pieces, once finished pile on top of the bacon to drain, and pour all of the bacon grease away-you wont need it anymore.

Step 3) microwave a bag of brown rice, when its fluffy dump it back into the frying pan, and the bacon /onion mixture, place heat on low medium and stir until everything is hot.
When everything is hot, turn the heat off, and spoon into bowls to eat, salt and pepper to taste if needed.

You can also add mushrooms to this dish.  If you choose to add mushrooms add them at the end of the onion step and saute until the edges are brown, drain the along with everything else.

This is a great comfort meal when its cold out or the day just isn't going well.  Something about the way the onion, and bacon flavors mix, and the rice gives it substance.  Can easily be reheated in the microwave for a quick one dish meal.

Please remember, I do not create dishes to be non-fattening, or heart healthy, but I do create with eating as close to the earth as possible, taste good, and be something you want to eat over and over.  Granted this recipe has microwave rice, but that's for the sake of speed, if you choose to do so you can cook your own rice beforehand.
